SettlePou Paralegal Didn't Work 'Flexible' Week, 5th Circ. Told

Law360, Houston (August 7, 2013, 4:12 PM EDT) -- A former SettlePou PC paralegal told the Fifth Circuit on Wednesday that because a judge wrongly found that she had worked a "flexible workweek" schedule, she is owed thousands more than she was awarded in a collective action claiming the firm cheated her out of overtime pay.

Joseph H. Gillespie of Gillespie Rozen & Watsky PC, who represents plaintiff Betty Black, told the appeals court that U.S. District Judge Ed Kinkeade had incorrectly determined that Black was only owed about $7,900 and disregarded Fifth Circuit precedent...
