Balfour Closes In On $508M Fla. Campus Project Contract

Law360, New York (August 6, 2013, 2:24 PM EDT) -- U.K.-based infrastructure group Balfour Beatty PLC has been named the preferred bidder for a £330 million ($507.7 million) mixed-use development project for the University of West Florida's campus, moving it a step closer to winning the contract, Balfour said Tuesday.

The project, which comprises the campus' University Park and Northwest Village areas, will be delivered over a 10-year period. A financial close for the first phase of the mixed-use development is slated for 2014, Balfour Beatty said.
