Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota Sued Over GPS Patent

Law360, New York (August 7, 2013, 11:50 AM EDT) -- CC Chrysler Group LLC, Nissan North America and Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. were hit with lawsuits in a Texas federal court Monday for allegedly infringing on a GPS patent.

Texas-based NovelPoint Tracking LLC alleges infringement of U.S. patent number 6,442,485 by Chrysler’s Uconnect Touch 8.4N, Nissan’s Infiniti Navigation System and Toyota’s Navigation System.

“NPT has been and continues to be damaged by defendant’s infringement of the patent-in-suit,” the complaints allege.
