Olive Garden, Food Supplier Hit With Tainted-Salad Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 2:50 PM EDT) -- An Ohio man purportedly sickened after eating tainted salad at an Olive Garden on Tuesday sued the restaurant alongside a farm linked by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to a recent outbreak of foodborne illness that sickened 400 people nationwide.

Justin Haren of Toledo, Ohio, says he ate a salad at Olive Garden in May and soon after became nauseated and feverish. He was later diagnosed with gastroenteritis and tested positive for cyclospora, a parasite that can cause severe stomach illness.
