$9M Naked Juice Settlement Gets Judge's Go-Ahead

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 4:24 PM EDT) -- Brushing aside objections to a $3.1 million attorneys' fees award, a California judge on Wednesday approved a proposed $9 million settlement in a class action accusing PepsiCo Inc.'s Naked Juice Co. of misleading consumers about the "all natural" content of its products.

Noting that the precise amount of attorneys' fees would be hammered out later in the proceedings, U.S. District Court Judge John A. Kronstadt gave the nod to the deal after determining that the preliminary sum was not as excessive as objecting plaintiff Sara Sandys...
