Wyeth To Pay $14M In Attys' Fees In Pristiq Class Action

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. unit Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc. will pay $13.5 million in attorneys' fees for a drug-related class action settlement after a New York federal judge on Wednesday ruled that the stockholder who objected to the payout lacked standing.

Wyeth agreed in 2012 to pay $67.5 million to settle a class action claim brought by a group of investors who say the company failed to disclose serious side effects associated with the antidepressant drug Pristiq. But stockholder Julia Petri objected to the attorneys' fees.
