3rd Circ. Kills Suit Claiming Firm Hid Ties To Arbitrator

Law360, Los Angeles (August 9, 2013, 2:44 PM EDT) -- The Third Circuit on Thursday denied Great Western Mining and Mineral Co.’s request to reopen its lawsuit claiming Brownstein Vitale & Weiss PC and an arbitration firm hid an improper relationship between them, ruling the company was barred from re-litigating claims that had already been decided.

In a unanimous unpublished decision, a three-judge federal appellate panel affirmed the decision of U.S. District Judge Freda L. Wolfson of the District of New Jersey to dismiss the lawsuit, ruling that Great Western Mining was prohibited from asserting claims...
