Philip Morris Beats Class Cert. Bid In 'Light' Cig Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (August 8, 2013, 8:48 PM EDT) -- A Wisconsin federal judge on Thursday refused to certify a putative class of consumers who claim Philip Morris USA Inc. and Altria Group Inc. deceived them about the tar and nicotine levels in their “light” cigarettes, ruling the plaintiffs failed to allege a common injury.
