NYRA Seeks Fourth Exclusivity Extension

Law360, New York (February 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Despite winning approval from creditors for its Chapter 11 plan, the New York Racing Association has asked for another extension of its exclusivity period as the company awaits a final decision from the New York state legislature on its franchising agreement.

On Wednesday, the bankrupt racing franchise submitted its fourth extension request in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, citing delays in the state assembly as the main need for additional time.
