Kevin Costner Loses Fraud Claim In 'Robin Hood' Profit Feud

Law360, New York (August 12, 2013, 6:31 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Thursday rejected actor Kevin Costner's fraud claim in a lawsuit alleging Morgan Creek Productions Inc. stiffed him on profits for the 1991 film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," ruling the allegation is a rehash of his separate breach of contract claim.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard Stone said Costner's claim, as presently asserted, does not constitute a viable fraud allegation. It marks the second time a court has rejected Costner's fraud allegations against Morgan Creek.
