BP Sues EPA Over Federal Contracting Ban

Law360, New York (August 13, 2013, 2:38 PM EDT) -- BP PLC and a host of its subsidiaries sued the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Texas federal court on Monday to challenge its exclusion from new federal procurement contracts arising from the company’s negligence in the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

BP challenged two EPA orders barring its entities from participating in any new federal procurement contracts and so-called nonprocurement covered transactions.
