Samsung Demands Apple Financial Docs In Smartphone Row

Law360, San Francisco (August 13, 2013, 7:56 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. urged a California federal judge Tuesday to force Apple Inc. to hand over financial documents on specific products and data in order to help the former company fend off claims that its newer-model smartphones infringe the latter company's patents.

Apple has wrongfully refused to hand over a number of key financial documents, including revenues and margins on individual products; financial data that zeroes in on the U.S. market rather than the worldwide market; and other specifics, Samsung argued.
