CityTime Player Fails To Get Statements Tossed

Law360, New York (August 14, 2013, 6:51 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Wednesday said he would not suppress statements that a key figure in the alleged CityTime payroll project kickback scheme made to law enforcement during his arrest, rejecting defense claims that the man was not read his rights.

Statements that CityTime consultant Mark Mazer made to law enforcement officers during his December 2010 arrest can be admitted to trial, U.S. District Judge George Daniels ruled at a hearing in Manhattan federal court.
