Apple Retail Employees Sue Over Unpaid Security Checks

Law360, New York (August 15, 2013, 2:42 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. retail employees on Wednesday hit the company with a proposed class action in California federal court, alleging Apple has violated federal and state labor laws by forcing their hourly employees to submit to off-the-clock security checks.

The lawsuit targets Apple's nationwide policy requiring that their retail staff's personal bags be checked after meal breaks and at the end of their work shifts.
