Boeing Ducks Suits Claiming Plant Emissions Caused Cancer

Law360, Los Angeles (August 15, 2013, 5:11 PM EDT) -- A California state judge on Thursday tossed two personal injury lawsuits alleging The Boeing Co. caused cancer in 14 community college workers exposed to toxic emissions from a nearby aerospace plant, saying plaintiffs needed more specifics on how their illnesses were connected to any emissions.

At a hearing, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Terry A. Green sustained the defendants' demurrers, ruling that the plaintiffs' second amended complaints failed to sufficiently plead enough facts to constitute any cause of action against Boeing or Long Beach Community...
