Chevron Calls For Arbitration In Biodiesel Project Spat

Law360, New York (February 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Oil giant Chevron USA Inc. is urging a federal court to compel arbitration and suspend a breach-of-contract lawsuit brought by a Texas biodiesel plant's majority investors, who claim the company reneged on a promise to provide unlimited financial support to its green energy project.

Chevron told the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Thursday it wants a stay of the litigation brought by Bioselect Fuels LLC, pending the outcome of its requested arbitration.
