Lerach Sentenced To Two Years Behind Bars

Law360 (February 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- William S. Lerach, a class action lawyer best known for recovering billions of dollars for Enron investors, was sentenced Monday to two years in prison for taking part in a kickback scheme at Milberg Weiss, his former firm.

Judge John F. Walter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California also sentenced Lerach to two years probation, fined him $250,000 and ordered him to complete 1,000 hours of community service, according to the Associated Press.
