Enviros Want Construction Halted On $1B Power Line

Law360, New York (August 20, 2013, 7:24 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club and nine other environmental organizations urged a D.C. federal court Monday to halt upcoming construction on a $1.2 billion power line that will cut through Pennsylvania and New Jersey until court challenges against the project have been decided.

Starting Sept. 3, PPL Electric Utilities Corp. and Public Service Electric & Gas Co. will begin clearing vegetation and building access roads for the Susquehanna-Roseland transmission line, which cuts through three public parks.
