Ex-Carlyle Exec Sued For Breaking $1M NYC Apt. Deal

Law360, New York (August 21, 2013, 3:50 PM EDT) -- Two New York co-op residents sued a former Carlye Group LP exec in state court Tuesday for refusing to hand over a $1.15 million deposit, claiming he falsely claimed the Manhattan co-op was in poor condition after an employment opportunity in New York fell through.

Plaintiffs Kim and Deborah Fennebresque, who own the fifth floor co-op at 800 Park Ave. in Manhattan's Upper East Side neighborhood, said that former Carlyle executive Brett Wyard agreed in June to buy the co-op interest for $11.5 million.
