ITC Clears Way For Duties On Alloy From India, Elsewhere

Law360, New York (August 23, 2013, 4:13 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission found Friday that removing anti-dumping duties on silicomanganese imported from India and two other countries would likely harm U.S. producers of the alloy, clearing the way for the duties to stay in effect.

Following a five-year sunset review of anti-dumping duties on silicomanganese from India, Kazakhstan and Venezuela, the ITC determined that if it were to revoke the duty orders, it would likely “lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury” to the U.S. industry for the alloy, which is used...
