Trump Univ. Bilked Students Out Of $40M, NY AG Says

By Natalie Rodriguez (August 26, 2013, 12:42 PM EDT) -- The New York Attorney General's Office lobbed a lawsuit in state court at real estate mogul Donald J. Trump on Saturday for allegedly making false claims about his personal involvement with The Trump Entrepreneur Institute and bilking students of at least $40 million.

Trump is accused of misleading students into believing he had hand-picked teachers and helped develop the curriculum, when he allegedly had little or no involvement beyond promoting the institute, according to the office of Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Trump, however, has blasted the suit and accused Schneiderman of asking for campaign contributions.
