Jay-Z's Rocawear Brand Sued Over 'Hood Love' Mark

Law360, New York (August 27, 2013, 7:49 PM EDT) -- Jay-Z's Rocawear brand was sued Monday in New York by a company that claims the clothing label is selling merchandise that infringes its "Hood Love" trademark.

The lawsuit was filed by New Jersey-based Hood Love LLC, a for-profit company that says it "focuses on the development of poverty stricken communities." The complaint names as defendants Roc Apparel Group LLC, Iconix Brand Group Inc. and retailer Dillard's Inc., among others.
