Facebook Asks High Court To Uphold Beacon Settlement

Law360, New York (August 28, 2013, 4:58 PM EDT) -- Facebook Inc. told the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday that the Ninth Circuit didn’t break with sister appellate courts by approving a $9.5 million class action settlement resolving user privacy claims tied to the site’s now-defunct “Beacon” feature and urged the high court to forgo further review.
