Time Warner Contractor To Pay $1.5M To Misclassified Techs

Law360, New York (August 30, 2013, 7:08 PM EDT) -- A contractor for Time Warner Cable Inc. in Ohio has been ordered to pay $1.5 million in back wages and liquidated damages to 250 former cable installers misclassified as independent contractors, the U.S. Department of Labor said Thursday.
