MGM Hit With Patent Suit Over Electronic Displays

Law360, New York (September 3, 2013, 4:27 PM EDT) -- MGM Resorts International on Friday became the latest company to be slapped with a patent infringement suit by Activision TV Inc. in Delaware federal court, alleging its digital signage infringes Activision's electronic display patents.

Activision, which designs and manufactures digital flat panel display systems, charges that signage at Atlantic City's Borgata Casino Resort and Spa and MGM's Aria Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas have infringed claims in U.S. Patent Nos. 7,369,058 and 8,330,613, both of which are titled “Remote Control Electronic Display System.”
