US Steel Cos. Seek Duties On Rebar From Turkey, Mexico

Law360, New York (September 4, 2013, 4:51 PM EDT) -- A group of American steel companies on Wednesday urged two federal trade agencies to investigate whether rebar imported from Turkey and Mexico is being sold in the U.S. at unfairly low prices at the expense of U.S. producers.

In a petition lodged with the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Rebar Trade Action Coalition asked the agencies to open anti-dumping duty probes into steel concrete reinforcing bar, or rebar, imports from Turkey and Mexico.
