$560M General Dynamics Vehicle Contract Win Draws Protests

Law360, New York (September 4, 2013, 8:40 PM EDT) -- Two vehicle manufacturers, AM General LLC and Navistar Defense LLC, are protesting U.S. Special Operations Command’s decision to award a $562 million contract to build Ground Mobility Vehicles to a General Dynamics Corp. unit.

USSOCOM announced the contract on Aug. 21, saying it had chosen General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems over six other bidders in a competition for new Ground Mobility Vehicles, lightweight vehicles that can carry seven passengers and can be transported by C/MH-47 Chinook helicopters.
