Dell's Patent Battle Broadens With ITC Complaint

Law360, New York (December 7, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A software maker has expanded its patent litigation against computer maker Dell Inc. over DVD playback functions with a fresh complaint filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The complaint, which seeks an investigation of Dell’s products and a cease and desist order, was filed by California-based software company InterVideo Inc. Also named as defendants are Dell partners Winbook Computer Corp., Cyberlink Corp. of Taiwan and Cyberlink's U.S. subsidiary Cyberlink.com Corp.
