Justices Asked To Block Employer-Funded Health Care

Law360, New York (February 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Heating up San Francisco's battle to mandate employer-funded health care, a group representing restaurant operators has filed a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court to temporarily block the city from requiring employers to spend specific amounts on employees' health care.

The Golden Gate Restaurant Association's petition, filed Friday, seeks an order vacating a stay of judgment by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
