Sandy Coverage Suit Unlikely To Pass Muster, Judge Says

Law360, New York (September 4, 2013, 7:09 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge said Tuesday that two Korsinsky & Klein LLP lawyers were unlikely to score insurance coverage for Superstorm Sandy damage at a rental property, rejecting their request for a preliminary injunction against Canopius US Insurance Inc.

U.S. District Judge Steven Gold was skeptical that Cashew Holdings LLC, a company held by attorneys Michael Korsinsky and Joseph Klein, could prove that Canopius US Insurance Inc. owed coverage for the $210,000 in damage that Sandy caused to its three-family residence in Rockaway Park, N.Y....
