Downtown Brooklyn Office Rents Set To Skyrocket: Survey

Law360, New York (September 5, 2013, 3:11 PM EDT) -- New York real estate executives have dubbed downtown Brooklyn the newest up-and-coming office center of the city, predicting that office rents will rise there in the near future as technology companies continue to move to the neighborhood, according to the results of a survey announced Wednesday by Marks Paneth & Shron LLP.

Of more than 100 New York commercial property executives, 17 percent chose downtown Brooklyn as the next hot office neighborhood, while the Garment District and Hells Kitchen tied for second with 16 percent....
