Mich. AG Joins Suit Against $11B US Airways-American Deal

Law360, New York (September 5, 2013, 7:45 PM EDT) -- Michigan’s attorney general on Thursday joined the antitrust suit filed by federal regulators and six other states to block the proposed $11 billion merger between US Airways Group Inc. and bankrupt American Airlines parent AMR Corp, saying the deal would continue airline industry consolidation and lead to higher fares.
