Lear Loses Out On Quick Appeal In Auto Parts Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (September 6, 2013, 7:55 PM EDT) -- A Michigan federal judge on Friday denied car parts supplier Lear Corp.'s bid for a quick appeal after the court refused to dismiss antitrust lawsuits brought by consumers who claim the company participated in a scheme to fix prices and rig bids on automotive wire harnesses.

U.S. District Judge Marianne O. Battani denied motions for an interlocutory appeal brought by Lear and Kyungshin-Lear Sales and Engineering LLC. The complaints against Lear and KL Sales are part of much larger multidistrict litigation being brought against numerous defendants...
