PetroChina Says Reports Of New Corruption Probe Are False

Law360, New York (September 9, 2013, 2:29 PM EDT) -- PetroChina Co. Ltd. on Monday denied reports that a corruption probe now includes two more of its executives, a push back that comes as the state-owned company grapples with allegations against its former leaders and at least two securities class actions in New York federal court.

PetroChina, China's largest oil and gas distributor, dismissed a report claiming two more of its executives are under investigation, saying that Director Wang Goliang and Vice President Sun Longde aren't part of a governmental probe of "serious disciplinary violations."...
