O'Quinn Firm, Insurers Say Mediation Failed In Coverage Row

Law360, New York (September 10, 2013, 4:52 PM EDT) -- Attorneys in the long-running dispute between The O'Quinn Law Firm and several insurers it countersued seeking coverage of the firm's defense costs in an underlying class action related to defective breast implant suits told a Texas federal court Tuesday that they couldn't settle the case in mediation.

U.S. District Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt had previously ordered the parties into mediation in May and the attorneys informed the court Tuesday that mediation yielded no settlement and was ultimately unsuccessful, according to court documents.
