Army Corps Awards Wind Contracts In $7B Renewables Plan

Law360, Washington (September 10, 2013, 3:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Monday that it will award contracts to 17 wind energy firms as part of its ongoing $7 billion plan to boost the Army's use of renewable energy.

This latest batch of Multiple Award Task Order Contracts — allotted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Ala., and the Army Energy Initiatives Task Force — will be given to various wind energy companies across the country, including energy giants Duke Energy Inc. and Dominion Energy Inc....
