Bahama Breeze Failed To Pay OT Wages, Suit Says

Law360, Miami (September 10, 2013, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Restaurant chain Bahama Breeze LLC and parent company Darden Restaurants LLC were hit Monday with a putative collective action in Florida claiming the restaurant routinely stiffed hourly workers overtime pay.

Former server Nicole Mrsich and former bartender Juan Escriva say Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.-based Bahama Breeze and Orlando-based Darden violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by forcing hourly workers to work through lunch and before and after their scheduled shifts without pay, according to a complaint filed in the Middle District of Florida.
