PG&E Settlements Total $565M In San Bruno Pipeline Blast

Law360, New York (September 10, 2013, 2:10 PM EDT) -- PG&E Corp. agreed on Monday to hand over $110 million to resolve almost all pending personal injury and property damage claims stemming from a deadly 2010 pipeline explosion and fire in San Bruno, Calif., bringing the company's total settlement payments to $565 million.

The utility said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it has now settled the claims of “substantially all” the remaining plaintiffs who sued over the blast, which killed eight people and injured 66 more.
