Google, Microsoft Face Patent Suit Over Ads

Law360 (February 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A patent-holding company has filed suit against Google and Microsoft, alleging that their paid advertisement services infringed one of its patents.

Paid Search Engine Tools LLC filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

The patent-holding company, based in Liberty Township, Ohio, claims that Google's AdWords product and Microsoft's AdCenter infringe on Paid Search Engine Tools' U.S. Patent Number 7,043,450.
