NJ Housing Group Sues For Post-Sandy Grant Documents

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 9:06 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey housing advocacy group on Wednesday sued the state’s Department of Community Affairs, seeking access to agency documents they say would help families and organizations apply for a share of millions in grant funds set aside for Superstorm Sandy recovery.

Fair Share Housing Center, a Cherry Hill, N.J.-based housing advocacy group, sued the DCA in New Jersey Superior Court, saying the department is in violation of New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act for failing to produce public documents related to its Community Development Block...
