Bimbo Foods, NJ Distributors Settle Contract Suit

Law360, New York (September 16, 2013, 9:15 PM EDT) -- Bimbo Foods Bakeries Distribution Inc. last week settled a class action filed in New Jersey federal court, resolving a claim from 60 baked-good distributors that alleged Bimbo blocked them from reselling other bread products in violation of New Jersey’s Franchise Practices Act.

According to a joint stipulation of dismissal filed Sept. 12., plaintiffs George A. Strassle and Timothy S. Carroll agreed to settle their claims against Bimbo, dismissing it with prejudice and without costs or fees to either party. Strassle and Carroll sued Bimbo in April...
