State, Federal Regulators To Discuss Smart Grid

Law360, New York (February 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- State and federal regulators say they will assemble a collaborative dialogue about the transition to a smart electric grid, FERC announced Thursday.

The Smart Grid encompasses advanced technological applications on the transmission and distribution grids, and involves automating the electric grid. These computer-driven technologies are already being deployed in some parts of the U.S.
