Citi Workers Pause FLSA Class Waiver Fight To Talk Deal

Law360, New York (September 18, 2013, 8:22 PM EDT) -- Workers who lodged a Fair Labor Standards Act suit against Citigroup Inc. asked the Second Circuit on Tuesday to suspend consideration of their request for a rehearing of its decision upholding Citi's arbitration agreement prohibiting class litigation, while the parties engage in settlement talks.

In a motion filed jointly with Citigroup, the workers urged that the appeals court put a hold on their rehearing bid while the parties “engage in earnest settlement negotiations.”
