NY To Buy $1.8B Of New Rail Cars For LIRR And Metro-North

Law360, New York (September 19, 2013, 1:52 PM EDT) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday that the state will spend nearly $2 billion on hundreds of new rail cars for the Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad in an effort to improve New York state’s transit systems.
