Raytheon Wins Dismissal Of $30M Missile Contract Suit

Law360, New York (September 19, 2013, 4:53 PM EDT) -- An Alliant Techsystems Inc. lawsuit accusing Raytheon Inc. of making it impossible to fulfill a subcontract for rocket motors for the government was dismissed Tuesday by a Virginia federal judge because it lacked jurisdiction and Raytheon had sued first in Arizona.

Raytheon, which sells missiles to the government, entered into a subcontract with ATK for a supply of rocket motors, but ATK says Raytheon’s specifications were beyond those necessary to satisfy the government's contract.
