Genetic Technologies, Applera Settle DNA Analysis Row

Law360, New York (December 12, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Australia’s Genetic Technologies and U.S. biotechnology company Applera Corporation have reached a settlement in their extended court battle over genetic detection patents. The settlement, the terms of which have not been made public, puts an end to two years of litigation between the two companies.

“The parties have executed a number of binding agreements, including a final settlement agreement plus license agreements and a supply agreement,” Genetic Technologies said.
