NY Housing Authority Raises Record $732M For Urgent Fixes

Law360, New York (September 20, 2013, 1:28 PM EDT) -- New York City has raised $732 million in its latest bond issuance for public housing authority capital funds, the largest amount ever raised for repairs for public housing, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Thursday.

The New York City Housing Development Corp. issued $476 million in Series 2013B bonds to provide an immediate source of funding to New York City Housing Authority in the form of a loan that will be dedicated to emergency repairs at 24 public housing developments around the city.
