Vornado's 5-Tower Project Scores Va. County Board's OK

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 8:19 PM EDT) -- The board for Arlington County, Va., on Saturday approved a nearly 2 million-square-foot mixed-use project proposed by a Vornado Realty Trust unit that wants to develop five towers filled with office, hotel and retail space near the Pentagon.

In a series of five unanimous votes, the Arlington County Board cleared various zoning requests, including a transfer of density and development rights, and established design guidelines for future site plans. It also recognized the project, dubbed Pen Place, as a possible future home for a government facility....
