Bazaarvoice's $168M Rival Grab Created Monopoly, DOJ Says

Law360, San Francisco (September 23, 2013, 6:08 PM EDT) -- Bazaarvoice Inc.'s $168.2 million buyout of rival PowerReviews Inc. created an illegal monopoly that effectively locked competitors out of the e-commerce ratings and reviews market, the U.S. Department of Justice told a California federal judge Monday in opening statements in its antitrust trial against the company.
