GAO Sides With DOE On $23B Nuclear Security Contract Row

Law360, New York (September 25, 2013, 2:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office on Tuesday partially dismissed Nuclear Production Partners LLC's protest against corrective measures the government is making in a $23 billion nuclear weapons security contract, saying NPP's concerns with proposal discussions and revisions are premature.

NPP had argued that the Nuclear National Security Administration, a unit of the U.S. Department of Energy, needed to allow more extensive proposal revisions and to amend its request for proposals because the government's requirements have changed with the passage of time.
